In addition, adult students are required to complete general courses that supplement their associate degree program and maintain a well-rounded curriculum. The Olivet Nazarene University bachelor’s degree program allows the adult student to learn in a supportive and challenging environment that helps them excel in their continuing education. Bachelor of Business AdministrationDegree Description The Bachelor of Business Administration is a 52-hour degree completion program designed for working adults. Students must possess work experience in general business/industry related field and an associate degree of arts or science, or a minimum of 60 transferable semester hours. The program is designed for adults who seek to build upon their education foundations and work experience to enhance their personal and professional career objectives. Students will acquire additional knowledge and skills in the area of business administration. The core curriculum of the program is designed to provide a student with an integrated education experience in the functional area of business, including human resources, finance, economics, and marketing. The program exposes students to the qualitative and quantitative aspects of business administration. Throughout the program, the students experience is drawn upon to focus on issues and to integrate academic coursework and ethical values with practical applications. Students develop skills though a carefully designed sequence of learning experience, including workshops and homework assignments. The program requires the development of individual and group skills and focuses on the application of knowledge and skills in the work environment. Classes are offered one night per week for approximately two years. The format is a "lock-step" approach in which an entering class stays together throughout the program. In addition to the weekly class sessions, students are required to participate in study group activities. |
